Applying ice and lemon on the tongue to cure hiccup

Hiccup is an involuntary contraction in muscle of the diaphragm and the intercostal respiratory muscle that can be treated by putting a piece of ice on the tongue, stretching language, put the lemon on the tongue, breathe in the bag or create a lot of enthusiasm and fear. According to Salamat News and quoting the ISNA, hiccup usually takes 48 hours, but in continuous form, person is suffering more than 2 days and less than a month. People who overeat at night, have swallowing air during the speaking, or use of carbonated drinks have often hiccups. Sudden changes in stomach's temperature after eating cold water or hot tea or smoking is derived from other causes of hiccup. Hiccup occurs in people with high stress or anxious or following the welcome or sad news. In patients who the cause of hiccup is swallowing air, they should avoid of talking while eating.
